Apartment Living in Suburban Birmingham
Residents live in 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartments (1,300 square feet), comfortably outfitted with furniture, closet space, storage, and washer/dryer units. Six men live in each apartment and share responsibilities for maintaining the cleanliness of the residence.

Out from Under is conveniently located in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, within a few miles of outpatient treatment centers and major interstate highways. Our recovery residency is near a multitude of 12 meetings, churches/religious affiliations, restaurants, shopping, and job opportunities.
Recreation and Amenities
We are not a glum lot!
When residents reach Phase 2 of the program, they gain access to on-site pool and gym facilities. Residents regularly enjoy cooking out together and participating in off-site recreational activities.

Visitors approved by staff are allowed during Phase 1 of the program. Phase 2 and 3 residents may use a limited number of 48-hour passes each month.
